We invite you to join our Breastlink team as a Nurse Practitioner. This full-time career opportunity has a Monday thru Friday 8 am – 5 pm schedule with some weekend and/or after hour call, and is located at our multi-disciplinary outpatient facility in Orange, CA. Working closely with our knowledgeable Radiologists, Breast Surgeons, Breast Oncologists, caring staff, and management team you’ll be at the forefront of breast disease management and care. As a NP you will:
  • Examine and evaluate patients, perform patient prescription medication screenings prior to all procedures, and work in conjunction with physicians to enhance patient care.
  • Supervise chemotherapy administration and nursing staff.
  • Order and/or administer injections, and administer medications within scope of practice.
  • Write and refill prescriptions, as well as educate patients in monitoring and managing medication side effects.
  • Manage high-risk screenings and ordering of genetic testing.
  • Perform and/or assist physicians with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
  • Review and communicate lab and diagnostic procedure results to patients.
  • Maintain proper documentation, dictate patient histories and physicals, and complete all appropriate medical record documentation requirements.
  • Manage phone triage and medical necessity documentation.
  • Travel to our nearby Saddleback practice and perform rounds at local hospitals as needed.
  • Educate Medical Assistant staff and ensure they are competent to support the Physician and NP staff clinically.
  • Conduct peer-to-peer review when necessary.
  • Participate in meetings and projects, and complete other tasks as assigned by management (following site policies and within legal scope of responsibility).

    Knowledgeable and patient focused candidates with an advanced degree from an accredited academic NP / PA program, as well as current and valid ACLS certification, CA State Licensure, a DEA registration number, excellent interpersonal skills, patient relations skills, and 5 years of oncology experience are needed! Some experience within a breast care dedicated practice is preferred.
